Barragan Named First Team All-Conference
Waco, Texas- Ana Barragan was named First Team All-Conference by the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC), marking the first such occasion for A&M-San Antonio's women's soccer program. Also, Maram Abdeljaber and Rheanna Lopez were each respectively named as Honorable Mention selections.
All-Conference selections are nominated by their respective head coaches, and they are voted on by all the conference's head coaches.
Barragan led the RRAC in goals scored (16), total points (34), and goals scored per game (2.83), and she had a solid argument for being named the conference Offensive Player of the Year. Though the conference's coaches did not collectively name Barragan the Offensive Player of the Year, her efforts were recognized by being named to the First Team. In 2022, Barragan was named to the Second Team.
Abdeljaber is making her second appearance on the Honorable Mention list, and Lopez was named to the Honorable Mention list for the first time.
