
Men's Golf competes on Day One of UHV Fall Classic
VICTORIA, Texas – The Texas A&M University–San Antonio Men's Golf team competed in day one of the UHV Fall Classic. After 36 holes, the men are currently in sixth place with a team score of 630 (54+).
A&M-San Antonio was led by junior Javy Jazo (Freeport, Ill. / Aquin Catholic High School) who shot a 75 in the first round and a 79 in the second round to combine for a day one score of 154. The junior birdied three holes on the afternoon. Right behind Jazo was freshman Jacob Pena (Victoria, Texas) who shot a 156 through two rounds. The rookie recorded two birdies on the back nine of his second round.
Sophomore David Rodriguez (Edinburg, Texas), freshman Jordan Hardin, and freshman Oskar Blomdahl all tallied two round scores of 160 to round out the team scoring.
The men's golf team is currently in sixth place out of nine teams and will look to move up on the final day of the UHV Fall Classic. The first tee time for tomorrow is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.
