Bio

Roberto Jaramillo has served as A&M-San Antonio’s men’s head soccer coach since 2022, leading the Jaguars to postseason appearances in each of his first three seasons. Under his leadership, the program recorded its highest winning percentage in 2024 with a 9-3-1 record and earned recognition as a 2025 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Gold 5-Star Champions of Character Institution. His teams have also maintained a strong academic standard with an average 3.13 GPA and were honored with the 2025 Red River Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Award. Jaramillo oversees all aspects of the soccer program, including recruiting, training, match preparation, player development, compliance, budgeting and travel logistics. Prior to joining the University, he coached at Southwest High School in San Antonio, leading the men’s soccer team from 2017 to 2022 to five district championships and its first-ever regional appearance. From 2013 to 2017, he served as head coach of the women’s soccer team, guiding them to their first district title in school history. Jaramillo has earned multiple acclodates during his coaching career, including TASCO Region 4 Boys 5A Head Coach of the Year in 2021 and District 28-5A Coach of the Year from 2018 to 2021. A San Antonio native, he is a graduate of Jefferson High School, earned his associate degree from Palo Alto College, and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
